Just 17 weeks to go at the time of writing! We photographed the sign in a restaurant in Droitwich a couple of week ago whilst down at a meeting with Enertech, the makers of CTC boilers and the EcoZenith intelligent thermal storage system.

 It seems no time at all since sponcering Dunbars Northlight arts festival by installing an off grid PV system in July but with August  almost gone and  Scottish and Southerns anouncement today of a 9% hike in energy prices heralds the start of winter  is almost upon us and the heating season begins for another year!

So whats in the calendar before the big day arrives?

There are rumours that the long awaited domestic RHI scheme will be unveiled pretty soon. With the non domestic sector already able to benefit from the RHI incentive, which offers better return than even the Feed In Tariff did at 43p rate the industry awaits an announcement from DECC as to what will be on offer for domestic customers who have installed eligible heat technologies pre 2009, in the meantime there is  the RHIPP which provides a one off payment of £300 against solar thermal and £950 for biomass installations.

East Lothian Life, winter edition, hits the streets early September and will include a comprehensive article written by the Energy Savings Trust on biomass heating technology

The Renewables Roadshow, an exhibition and demonstration day covering all renewable technologies is at the SECC  in Glasgow on 26th September, hope to see you there.

The Scottish Renewables On Site Exibition and Showcase in Perth on 23rd October.
