In the fast changing world of Renewables it is  always worth the effort to take up opportunities to keep abreast with changes  in the industry and this weeks Scottish Renewables Heat and Bioenergy Seminar ticked all the boxes.

ScottishRenewablesBioenergySeminarLothian Renewables were amongst some 200 delegates who attended the seminar, opened by the Keynote speech by Fergus Ewing MSP, minister for Economy,Energy and Tourism.

Other speakers included Ian Calvert from the Markinch Biomass project, Hugh Muschamp from the Scottish Government’s Heat Mapping Team and Andrew Bissell from Sunamp, a company developing solid state heat batteries as a compact replacement for traditional water tanks.

One enduring comment made on the day  was that the waste heat from the UK power stations is greater that the heat demand of every household in the country!
