Work began today on a combined pitched roof and flat roof PV system. After confirming from a structural report that the roof was satisfactory for a ballasted flat roof system the RECA Low ballast system was specified. The picture above shows the initial layout, orientated to point south. The system will be completed early February and further pictures will be posted to show the completed array. The RECA frames are enclosed to deflect wind and require far less ballast than traditional ballasted systems.
