Lothian Renewables attended the opening of the new Wolseley Renewables training facility in Falkirk on the 15th of January. The fully equipped, HETAS approved facility provides certified training in a number of Renewables technologies including Biomass, Heat Pumps and Solar Thermal.

The centre was officially opened by Mr Fergus Ewing, the Scottish minister responsible for Tourism and Energy. After the opening ceremony presentations were given by the Energy Savings Trust, Department of Energy and Climate Change and a number of leading renewable manufacturers including Trianco, Worcester Bosch and Dimplex.

The Wolseley Group, through their Plumb Centre outlets are one of the major suppliers to Lothian Renewables providing renewable equipments from manufacturers such as Dimplex, Vaillant, CTC and Trianco.

Wolseley are unique within the sector in the way they have embraced the new Renewables revolution and the new training facility further undermines their commitment to assisting with the task of providing  the competencies within the industry to allow for high quality renewable installations.
